Hop’s recipe is sourced directly from select food merchants, and prepared in batches 98% smaller than the industry standard, in pursuit of ideal ingredient pairings. Our sealed cleantech uses live data on CO2 levels, acidity, and temperature, to tune Hop every 60 seconds as it’s produced. Hop is used simply as a 1” top dressing or ¼ soil blend. But with every detail, it shows our devotion to the health of organic plants.
so healthy
you can eat it
without issue
After my dog Willy was poisoned by fertilizer in the family garden, I saw its danger in growing food.
I founded Hop to create an organic soil nourishment so clean, you can eat it without any issue. The truth is, healthy people, pets, and plants aren’t opposed.

for
clean
gardens
If a chef used unknown ingredients, we wouldn’t expect a good meal. Yet, most compost is made of unknown ingredients from public waste. The result is often contaminated and inconsistent.
Instead, Hop runs its own collection route, to gather ingredients in labeled bins from select sources. With near-identical loads every week, Hop has cut input contamination to just 0.01%, for a product that is both steady and clean.
for
reliable
results
Compost is often made in batches of over 12,000lbs. Ingredients are unidentifiable in the mass, so the recipe becomes imbalanced. A new microbe culture starts in each unique recipe, making compost that changes for every grower.
Hop has embraced its art by pioneering compost ingredient pairings, with batches that are 98% smaller than the industry average. Made in one continuous load, Hop microbe cultures never change by more than 0.4% to assure reliability.
the
modern
science
Most compost is made with uncontrolled outdoor rotting. For 6 months or more, product quality is harmed by weeds, pests, and weather. A 25% temperature drop can result in 10.4x more pathogens.
Hop is made within sealed cleantech, which uses live data to automate temperature, moisture, and oxygen levels. The process is so thorough, it takes only 11 days, and gives Hop a perfect zero lab score for Salmonella, E.Coli, and pesticide or herbicide traces.
